ASP and PV Manufacturers are moving closer to Solar Partnership

Advanced Solar Photonics is ready for its first round of funding in order to produce solar panel processing equipment for the crystalline and thin film markets. Advanced Solar Photonics (ASP) is working on developing key partnerships with major providers in the PV manufacturing industry in order to be able to provide a solution at an affordable price. ASP has already sold a number of systems to the silicon solar manufacturers for wafer dicing, marking and edge isolation. These systems are helping to lower the cost of manufacturing solar panels and improve the efficiency rate of the modules by eliminating errors and waste.

The products ASP is prepared to build for the thin-film industry will eliminate the question of accuracy and precision over long distances. The systems will be fully automated and ready to pass inspection. Overall laser technology helps the solar industry meet technology needs required for continued growth.  Lasers provide precision, accuracy and resolution where as mechanical methods are unable. Lasers have a significant advantage over other technologies, such as etching solutions, which use toxic chemicals and produce hazardous waste.
