As the solar industry begins to prosper, ASP plans to become the premier supplier of advanced, next generation laser systems to solar manufacturing companies. By immensely expanding our production capacities, global recognition will become possible. This will also help to further lower manufacturing equipment prices. ASP is in the process of developing partnerships which will allow the development of a complete turnkey solution for solar manufacturers of generation 8 and 10 thin film solar panels. ASP is also perfecting its current product line so that it might be able to offer affordable equipment to solar companies further reducing manufacturing costs. The technology Advanced Solar Photonics possesses, presents a $10 million opportunity per factory.

The processes that solar companies are using now are very rudimentary and not cost effective. This has resulted in high costs for manufacturing and acquiring solar energy. Currently a green laser is being used when scribing. Green lasers are not easy to control because of the beam propagates. Advanced Solar Photonics has a proven system that has already been tested in the real world. These processes are similar to what FTI has in place for the G8 flat panel display industry. As the solar industry matures, Advanced Solar Photonics will be in position to capture a large share of the market.
